Nashville Travel Guide
One of the nation’s hottest bachelor and bachelorette destinations just happens to have some great food and trendy neighborhoods as well. The city? Nashville. I’ve been down twice now and love the mix of old southern hospitality and new city charm. Here are a few of my favorite things I’ve seen and eaten in the southern city; this also makes for a great girls trip or bachelorette guide to Nashville.
Where To Eat in Nashville
Biscuit Love - The name says it all, hearty biscuits that you’re going to love. Go early or during a weekday, as this place is always busy.
Louie’s Wine Dive - Cute spot off the beaten path for brunch and great wine.
Acme Feed and Seed - Eclectic food menu and variety, large bar and three levels to explore.
Five Daughter’s Bakery - Amazing baked goods and beautiful murals around the area.
Saint Anejo - Killer Mexican food and margaritas.
Nashville Underground - Huge place on the main strip, decent place to try some Nashville hot chicken if you don’t want to wait for Hattie B’s.
City Fire - No frills restaurant with classic comfort food. They also had some outrageous brunch mimosa deals.
Burger Up - With two locations, this restaurant serves tasty, locally sourced burgers.
Best things to do in Nashville
Sip a sweet tea in Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James flagship store. Pop around the corner to take a picture at the “I Believe in Nashville” mural after, then head down the street for shopping and a stop at Five Daughter’s Bakery.
Walk the pedestrian bridge for sweeping views of the city, or bike across and around the river for some added cardio.
Be basic and visit the “WhatLiftsYou” angel wings mural, then walk around the trendy Gulch neighborhood, home to celeb stores owned by the likes of Kristin Cavallari and Jessie James Decker. You can also catch a few more murals across the street from the angel wings mural. Then head to the Thompson Hotel Rooftop and sip a frose while overlooking the city at one of the best bars in Nashville.
Get your country music on at the classic Tootsies, go line dancing at the Wildhorse Saloon, and take in the full downtown strip from Jason Aldean’s rooftop.
Enjoy the openness and lack of tourists while walking around Centennial Park and Vanderbilt.
Head outside the city and visit the iconic Grand Ole Opry.
Where to stay in Nashville
The Gulch is the place to be; great food and bars and close to the main strip but far enough out that you won’t get annoyed by all the sloppy drunks. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Nashville Downtown/The Gulch which had a great rooftop and excellent breakfast buffet with brisket included.
Getting Around Nashville
Having car is great if you want to explore outside of the downtown area more, but if you stay in an area like the Gulch, a car is not needed. Between walking, Ubers and bikes/scooters, you can easily get around without a car.
